After many complaints were received from members about the imposition of having to put personal details on CARM, such as home numbers, addresses etc and the fact this was a breach of individual rights, the GMB challenged the Force in respect of the rationale behind such a move. After much debate the Force agreed that only those staff in critical roles or who were on call out required to enter their details on CARM and the whole Force mandate was rescinded.
